DeltaRomeo creates illusions,

seamlessly woven into the fabric of storytelling.

Visual Effects is the cornerstone of modern filmmaking
DeltaRomeo is a collective of artists, supervisors, producers and technologists operating as a flexible team in the creation of visual effects for the world's most successful streamers, studios and filmmakers.

A VFX company has to embrace new technology, and be capable of supporting the director’s vision using many filmmaking techniques to remove backgrounds and wires, extend sets, process and correct color, and integrate CG or sourced elements. Visual Effects isn’t just post-production, it’s a language that describes an approach to problem solving. It’s the language of illusion on a screen. Photography, previsualization, camera tracking, and CG simulations are all part of VFX.

On-Set
Working in production is a team sport.
On-set photography requires proper lighting and exposure. DeltaRomeo collaborates on stage to meticulously manage chroma key screens, logistics , video signal and noise quality, lighting, rigging, and camera tracking, all within a tight schedule and budget.
AI
Leveraging AI tools for the next wave of production
Generative AI introduces novel and powerful tools, and we anticipate AI  to serve as a foundation in the VFX industry in the coming years. However, there are significant opportunities now to develop new workflows that leverage automation or greatly accelerate creative processes for the entire team.
Compositing
Modern compositing workflows
Advanced Nuke compositing for film and TV, combining live action and CG elements into the final picture. 3D compositing, USD, and new ML compositing toolsets.
Rig Removal
Paint out cables and harnesses
Stand-in props are isolated and removed from photography for use in compositing. Harness rigs need to be painted out, and digital clothes added.
Camera Tracking
Extracting camera data
Integrating digital artwork and props into photography necessitates precise camera tracking. This process accounts for lens distortion, focal lengths, frame rates, shutter motion, motion blur, and camera sensor geometry. Ensuring sufficient contrast in static objects is crucial for successful camera tracking.
Set Extension

Expanding the environment through set extension

Creating a digital set is an art form in its own right. Crafting intricate environments such as cities, medieval castles, or sci-fi landscapes requires significant time and artistic skill. On set, the director of photography (DP) must envision the final result and frame the greenscreen accordingly. Tracking and masking the footage are essential to seamlessly integrate the digital artwork. Compositors then match the color and exposure of the digital elements to the live-action footage, completing the illusion.
Retouch
Digital makeup and blemish removals
Nobody is perfect, but fashion standards want us to be. We can apply digital makeup, remove blemishes and retouch wigs, makeup, or tattoos.
Previsualization
Measure twice. Cut once.
Previs is a great way to help dramatic decision making, but it's also an essential measurement tool. The writer, director, and storyboard artist might envision a film shot inside a car, but can we actually fit a film crew and four cameras in that space? What field of view can we capture with those cameras? What will the film look like using this setup? Should the car be driven or towed? To answer these questions, you need the previs team.
Color pipeline
Using industry standard color workflows
We embrace the industry standard ACES and OCIO workflow. We minimize any color shifting by using an ACES linear gamut between the camera output and the final conform output. This ensures that the highest quality is preserved throughout.
Simulations
Full range of simulation solutions
We provide a variety of simulation techniques. Fluids, grains, particles, smoke, fire, using modern FLIP and RBD solvers.
